2. Boma - Our Chat and Discussion forum faq - here.
3. Uploading Your Pics In Our Boma:
- Choose a website to host your images: e.g. Flickr (www.flickr.com)
- Once you have uploaded an image to a site, check that url or web address and copy it so that you may paste this link in one of the Discussion
Forums.
- Compose a new message where you want the picture to appear, use the IMG tag. You can either enter it manually or click the button underneath the post topic. So for instance:
Here is a picture:
[IMG] http://your.picture.address/goes/here.jpg [/IMG]
- Preview and submit. Once you get the hang of it, its' simple. Just try!
- Any of Boma Users will be able to point you in the right direction - just ask!
4. A solution for those who are receiving the following:
"Error: the image that you have requested is not available." on their cam windows.
If using a Norton Internet Security
or Personal Firewall.
Click on this link : Go to Norton
When this Norton's page opens, please be sure to check under SOLUTIONS (second paragraph from the top) for the correct
year of your Norton program.
If using ZoneAlarm Pro, do the following:
Double click on ZoneAlarm icon.
Click Privacy tab.
Click 'Site Lis' tab .
For africam.com Private Header must be allowed, (you can do this by clicking on the Private Header square and choosing Allow).
On occasions, in some browsers, when you try to save an image, it saves
it without the extension .jpg. This may confuse some programs you might use to open these files. A simple solution is to rename the file with the extension
- .jpg - included.
Occasionally just hitting F5 (the keyboard refresh command) will get rid of the dreaded red "X's".
The above solutions have been very kindly provided by Africammers: Elaine/PA, Seal and madbear.
