Landi I spent the weekends of ten years watching waders at Delta of Axios River here in Greece near Thessaloniki...There in spring migration you can see all tringa and calidris sp together (I mean the european species)..Stilts and avocettes are breeding in big numbers...

But those wonderful years ...were before other ten years LOL...And those last ten years I've rarely gone for birding...and I have never visited the delta again

...And now LOL!!! I think I found the Common Greenshank  It was paler than the other, bill upcurved and all its shape and behaviour reminded of a Tringa sp

But after that I m not sure more what I saw the previous day...mainly when I discovered that the same day I saw and saved pics of a stilt on ng cam (not good but here colours are ovious)...I hope the first impression was right and this above is a different individual !!!

I am going to bow to your superior knowledge on waders - I try to avoid IDing them anyway because they are so difficult. After all the pics you posted and me checking out various bird books, I am not certain that the first bird was NOT a Stilt.
