Having been fortunate to see the Big 5 and Wild Dogs (plus many wonderful birds and other sightings) in our stay in the Kruger National Park whatever we saw during our stay at Nkorho Bush Lodge could only be a bonus.  In fact we were not disappointed and every game drive brought up new fascinating sightings including seeing the Big 5 on each of the morning and evening drives on 7th September.

Without getting blasé about seeing the Big 5 the quality of the sightings and also learning about the story behind the animals (particularly the lion prides and the territorial leopards) becomes more important than totting up numbers of animals.

Having seen Wild Dogs we never thought that we would see Cheetahs the next day.  These two male cheetahs were walking lazily through the bush occasonally taking a rest and finally settling for the day on a termite mound:

Cheetahs are so graceful as they move as shown by the video here.

We saw them again in the same place in the afternoon drive with them having slept the very hot day away.

A couple of days later Norman the tracker did a good job following cheetah tracks on the sandy road and we came across this beautiful female cheetah who posed for us on top of another termite hill:
