A Sandhill crane's nest

Look at this slideshow to see a nest of sandhill cranes.

A dentist shot this amazing footage of a nest of sandhill cranes. Enjoy!

I think it's quite normal for only one egg to hatch with certain cranes. I don't know about all of them.

That's why you get those programs where they will steal one of the eggs out of the nest and let it hatch under lamps. But because cranes imprint on the adult, the ppl working in these programs go dressed in those special clothes to make them look like cranes. In the highly endangered species it can help to increase the numbers.

That's a program I would love to participate in Smiling

I did enjoy! Does it often happen that only one egg will hatch?

Thanks for this Smiling
