Post here every pic of birds you have seen at Africam cams and you can't ID ...Maybe someone can help Smiling

no it isn't lol ! yes the pic you posted looks very similar. 

I would say that maybe we have a new bird (duck) for the database ???

Yes Gerda ...I don't think there is something else more similar ...See at the pics of Mangoverde.com too ...I think they look more similar to our duck

But the biotope ins't exactly what they discribe at web "fast-flowing well-wooded highland streams'' LOL!!

I was wondering about this duck too,

had a look in my birdbook and almost the only duck I can find that has the white speckles on his back or wings is the  African Black Duck - Anas sparsa.

But I don't think it is one lol Puzzled
