Hey all,

As time passed and Hanneke and I were both on Africam  some day we discovered that we are living very close in distance with eachother.

We often talked about a meet and Hanneke invited me many times to come and visit her.

well last Tuesday i mailed her : I am just home and if i am welcome i could come and visit. I mailed this at 20.00

Hanneke replied at 21.15 and i saw it later.. and i replied at 21.45 hey isnt it to late now?

She replied NO it is not to late! and i said ok 20 minute's

I got in my car and drove.. ( it was very very Misty) and my Tom Tom was directing me in a crazy way to Hanneke's house, But i arrived at 22.15 ... Normaly it can be done in 10 Minute's i think ( so close!)

she gave me Hot Tea! ( yeaah! ) LOL

As always it is strange to meet a person from a chat (you never know if it will match ore not) But i think this was a Hit very soon.

Not Only did i meet Hanneke , But also 2 of her sons!

We have been talking about so many things.. Africam was only a small issue in whatever we talked about! So many things!

Believe it ore not: LOL i left at 04.00 in the night.

I couldnt leave in 10 seconds because it was freezing and all the windows off my car were heavily iced.. so i had to scratch the ice off it and that took me at least 10 Minutes's (maybe longer) Smiling

I think Hanneke and i had a really nice meeting! and meeting 2 of her sons also was really nice  Espacially Paul.

If i should tell you all what we talked about this posting will be 500 pages ore longer!

It was a wonderfull meeting!

There is always a risk if you meet someone you only know from a forum ore chat that it doesnt match, But this one matched!

Thank you Hanneke for giving me the chance to meet you and thank you for all we talked about!

I can tell you ALL that Hanneke is a great and caring mother for her 3 sons, and the sons have to be very proud that they have a Mother like Hanneke is for them!

Hanneke Tell Paul i realy enjoyed our meeting and i hope to visit him (and You)  again!

hey you were late ...ROFL ...you had to visit each other earlier ...LOL

I have the feeling that the majority of the dedicated africamers are all very close like persons...and that can be great friends not only on boma but in the real life too if they meet each other.

I wish I could meet you too ...Smile

Hey Fani!

Meeting Hanneke was planned a long time ago already.

We did kept saying Hi online  .. and we did keep on saying we had to meet .

Also the distance we had made it all very easy 10 to 15 minutes drive.

If i could drive within 15 minutes to you Fani, you could expect me visitting you.

The reason I envy you, is that you live in Central Europe!! It is a short way to everywhere. I have to travel across the countries and seas to get there. You have each others there and also all culture treasures. Says a girl from backwoods.

Africam Meets are fantastic - I have been to many and have made 'lifelong friends' by attending them.

It is always a bit scary the first time, but Africammers have so much in common that the conversation just flows...

I have visited many Africam friends, in different counties, thanks to the Africam Community, and Africammers are always welcome to visit with me when they come to England.
