I was following the leopardhill blog site how they were waiting for some info of Makwela for long and at last they got these sad news. You can find beautiful pics of makwela and her cub. I red also  the comments but I just couldn´t tell my opinion, I felt it so vain and powerless though I know that my opinion is a part of all others´who think the same way.

I Know that all comments are appreciated on leopardhills.

so sent it in Katip.

Some Information, for thoose who dont know,

leopard Hills is very Close to Nkorho and the Sand river lions pride was a pride that were active mostly in the area along leopard Hills.

I just hope that the animals ( espacially the cats) we see on NK will not escape from the protected area and hopefully can be spared from message's like they sadly had to post on LH (leopard Hills).

Hi Iceage, actually Leopard Hills is quite a distance from Nkorho. Nkorho being in the east of Sabi Sands near the Kruger boundary and Leopard Hills being in the far western sector. Hopefully, the animals we see at NK won't venture that far.

At the same night I watched a french program from southern Africa where conservationists were planning passages from one consrvation area to another so that animals could wander longer to find food. Other not permitted areas are closed by electric wires. They were talking of elephants in this case and told that the matriarch is always the first one who goes and tries a new fence and if she gets a shock, she warns all the others and no one goes through it even later. All that is depending on money but it could be a solution at least in the areas where are people living in the other side of conservation areas and shooting is a problem. I have to say that I am not a specialist and don´t know the circumstances but my heart is for wild animals!
