Babblers in full cry this afternoon - what lovely bird sounds!

For those with limited broadband access, try accessing Africam or the wavelit website through Real Player . The Player opens the websites and plays the streams normally, but seems to buffer far less. This has certainly improved my stream significantly.

Over the past few hours we've seen an incredible amount of game from wallowing warthog to zebra to impala to blue wildebeest to baboon and much more.

After a really hard week at w**k I have the chance to take a break on this friday afternoon. So I started a tour through the net dropping over old places. And one of this old places is here on the Boma.

I remember the times really well when I need help. And I got it here. From this times on, my life turns back into a more regular state.

Now I guess I have a happy life, most times. I have a good fulfilling job with nice colleagues, just a few but close friends, two wonderful kids and really wonderful wife.

My name is Peter Braat aka Ranger Piet. Originally I'm from Holland, but after some assignments in Germany Switzerland and Kuwait for my boss, decided to quit and move to South Africa early last year.

I live with my partner René and her two daughters and am currently doing volunteering work in Kayamandi, a township close tp Stellenbosch in the Western Cape.
