White light vs Infrared...
Submitted by Tabs on Tue, 19/09/2006 - 12:56pm.Can owls, or other nocturnal critters, see better at waterholes if either (or) white light/infrared light is available?
Does any form of artificial lighting help predatory animals - or prey animals - and/or does it hinder (read intefere with) any of them?
Goodness me - heres our owl again
Submitted by Penny in SA on Tue, 19/09/2006 - 9:58am.I can't believe that we seem to see the same owl every night - it has to be resident and perhaps is using the floodlight to hunt?????

Submitted by cerinthe on Tue, 19/09/2006 - 2:45am.How did animals get tuberculosis, where did it start or what is it actually? It sounds such a man related disease and yet animals suffer from it worse than we do. Can someone please tell us more about it? Which animals are infected and how is it passed on?

Sightings of September 19th
Submitted by Ranger Piet on Tue, 19/09/2006 - 1:22am.I had a great, long view of the Greenshank earlier, but unfortunately the good pics I took disappeared as I has not set MWSnap on 'autosave'. There was also a Three-banded plover and just now the African Hoopoe can be heard in the background.
