Hiya! I'm not really new...I've been watching the cam for about 5 months now. I have really been in awe of all that I've seen.

However, I'm fairly new to the forum. I read and check out all the pics, but don't normally comment. But, that is all changing. I'm finally brave enough to talk around here. hehehe

My name is Heather, yet many people call me Ori. I'm from El Paso, Texas, USA, and am I totally intrigued by nature. Around here, we have coyotes, antelope, mountain lions, you know...stuff like that.

But, to see elephants, giraffes, lions, etc....now THAT is exciting!

Hello, I have been watching africam for quite awhile but just decided to join in on the forum. The best for me so far has been the Christmas lions. I can't wait to see the giraffes and elephants. I live on the east coast so some of the best viewing times are while I'm sleeping. I have to settle with late afternoon or night viewing.
Thanks to everyone who works to get this thing working. I love it. It's what makes the internet worth while.

I was amazed to see the spectacle! When I looked up what I had seen it turns out it was springboks pronking! I'd never heard of that. Magic.

I went to see the cam this afternoon (after watching it fine this morning), and I get this scary music and picture of a head floating through water or something with the words, "THE VIDEO YOU ARE WATCHING HAS BEEN PIRATED . . . TO VIEW AFRICAM, VISIT US AT WWW.WAVELIT.COM"

I apologize for introducing myself in the watering hole discussion board.

My name is Tonya. My son, Tristan, and I are fascinated with all of this. I was on for a few hours last night and got to see a giraffe drink from the watering hole, then saw a family of giraffes off in the tree line.
I was sad that my son had to miss out on it. He sat here at the computer with me for about a half hour before I had to put him to bed (he's 5).
We are going to watch for a while tonight and hopefully he will get to see something!
