New Day

NEW DAY!!!

and hopefully a day as exciting as yesterday!

Last night many of us had the incredible treat to hear lions roar. This made me remember an incredible even that happened to me in Phinda, South Africa. I had heard lions call out before, but I had never really heard what a roar sounds like.

I didn't think I'd ever really see one, but how AMAZING were the lions today!? Around 6:30-7 pm NKhoro Time, a beautiful male lion & his 6 lionesses were walking around the watering hole, laying around, & drinking. Absolutely gorgeous! He looked so awesome walking about w/ his big mane, protecting his pride. I think there was an elephant also (which was also exciting!) & a jakal later on. I am so excited!! Can't wait to see more.

Here's an interesting story and video of a rogue elephant seal that is wreaking havoc on the Sonoma Coast (about 50 miles north of San Francisco).

Does anyone know what that sound was about 5 min ago? Sounded like something fighting. I think heard hooves in the grass. The birds sounded pretty upset too. I think it was behind the camera so I couldn't see what it was. Just curious.

This is the The first time i have been on here for ages and with all my revision and stuff it might be the last for some weeks. So i thought i would tell you all incase you were wondering where i got to ! I may be here some weekends but revision is first i am sad to leave bye bye and hope to be back soon! :cry:
