Black Bird Nest in my back yard
Submitted by outofafrica on Wed, 07/05/2008 - 10:42am.We were trimming the ivy last week when we discovered a nest. It was empty and I thought we might have scared the birds away. Two days later I put my hand in and discovered there were eggs inside!! I couldnt see inside, but took my camera and blindly took a picture... Not being an expert on birds, I searched the net to see what kind of bird was nesting there. I knew it wasnt a small bird by the size of the eggs. Knowing we have many black birds around, I did a search on their eggs... jackpot!!
