The stick in the mud

I have been viewing the water hole for around 2 and a half years.  There used to be lots of animals visiting the 'hole', but since the dead tree branch edition to the 'hole', there seems to be far fewer visitations.  Are the animals being defensive or suspicious?  Or has the water been changed because of the dead wood in the water making it distasteful, or perhaps poisoned?  The other day there was a close-up and it looked like the wood had turned completely black with fungi, and the white stuff on the horizontal branch looks like mushrooms indicating rot.  Wouldn't it be better to mou

Hi from the middle of Missouri

Hi everyone

new to africam kindof.  I started coming here years ago but have not been back for a long time.  Well, the temperature dropped by 30 degrees F. here this afternoon and the rain etc. has started. I'm located in the middle of Missouri on the Lake of the Ozarks if anyine is interested.  So hope to hear from some of you as to what is happening and the best times to be around.
