I'm a 73-year-old retired biotecnologist, who is currently sowing semi-wild retirement oats! My wife and I took our very first cruise to the Caribbean isles in January, and after spending 12 glorious days in excellent sun-laden weather, we are hooked. Next March, we head for the Bahamas!
I was born in Baltimore, MD, the only child of a theater manager, and a housewife. I grew up in Virginia from age 6 months. I live in the Shenandoah Valley, home of many of the major battles of the Civil War. After getting out of Va Tech with my life, I went into the paramedical field, spending 42 years as all types of Pathology lab technician. I went from there to managing a Quality Control lab for a large biomedical firm, and finally retired in 2001, hanging up my rubber gloves forever. Where I'm headed is anyone's guess, but I plan to use the remainig time I have left fully enjoying everything I possibly can on this planet. I've planned it so that the last check i ever write is going to bounce. I'm leaving here - flush, and satisfied.
