Donna, I do believe you are right about the Lantana !  And now I am embarrassed and I owe someone an apology, I think Janine. we were discussing invassive plants one night and I referenced the Penta, while meaning to say Lantana !

And the "spiky" thing is some lind of Bromeliad, of which the Pineapple is a member, but is that one edible ?

Dan, the yellow one looks like lantana, but much enlarged. When you said "hats" I thought of pineapple for cocktails. LOL

Wow ! I can see I must get out my gardening books again. I think the first is a shrub I used to grow in So. Florida ..I called it a Turks Cap, i believe from the Hibiscus or Mallow faimily ..have to check for sure and believe it or not the yellow one looks familar also.  This will be as much fun as the birds Smiling

edit ..and the spiky one ..I know what that is but I am having a brain fart at the moment LOL
