One of the rarest and most endangered animals of Africa, the African Wild Dog recently made a special guest appearance on Africam.

Recently at the Nkorho Pan a truly amazing giraffe behavior was observed by Africam's live streaming camera.

Although it appears that the giraffes are feeding on a deceased buffalo similar to the way a carnivore would, they are in fact chewing on these bones for another reason.

The results are in. We are pleased to announce all the winners of the 2007 Africademy Awards. Gerda's Africam's Nkorho Story (located below) walked away with the award for Best Picture of The Year.

The hype has reached a fever pitch and the final vote for the First Annual Africademy Awards is about to take place. Gerda's Africam's Nkorho Story is creating a great deal of buzz and is poised to sweep the major categories leading the way with four nominations.

A Cape Buffalo died near the Nkorho Pan two days ago from a respiratory disease. Since that time it has brought a massive amount of animals to the area which are competing for the precious food it can provide.

Over the past month the leopard Sightings at Nkorho Pan have been increasing. This is causing a great deal of excitement with Africam viewers. The all elusive leopard is one of the most difficult animals to see in the bush. Their solitary nature, camouflage coat and stealth driven movements allow them only to be seen when they wish to be seen.

We have been so impressed by all of the video captures and Africam movies that you've created, that we have set up a YouTube Group to house them all called "AfricamWild". We encourage all of our Africam wildlife film directors to join the group and link their videos to it. That way we can get as many of your Africam sightings and movies all linked together, and more people will be able to enjoy them.

After countless hours of work by the Africam Team and a massive amount of anticipation from the loyal members of Africam, we are pleased to announce the upcoming launch of our second live streaming camera: Elephant Plains.

For those of you who have been watching Africam over the years you will be familiar with the Black Eagles of Roodekrans. We have often been asked questions relating to how we get the camera pictures from the nest onto the internet, and what are the physical and technical challenges we have had to face in order to achieve this.

Nkorho Pan, comes to you live from the Nkorho Bush Lodge in the Northern Sabi Sands Wildtuin (Afrikaans word meaning game reserve). Sabi Sands Wildtuin is in the Eastern part of South Africa and shares an unfenced boarder with Kruger National Park. It is an association of a number of private landowners, many of whom run commercial game lodges, like Nkorho Bush lodge.
