hi and welcome again Flygirl.  Right now it is the season where we don't see as many animals due to it being rainy season there are water puddles elsewhere so they don't need to come to the waterholes to drink.  Otherwise we never really know when a good sighting will show up as they have shown up at all different times in the past. From pics that are posted in the daily pics thread you can get an idea on what and where the sightings have been.  From the times that I watch the cams, the early mornings are usually the best times.  But at night is when I have seen the most lions and leopards come for a drink not to say other critters aren't also seen at night.  The rainy season also seems to bring more technical problems with the cam networks with at times limits the opportunity to see animals such as now NK is down and I hope they can get that cam back up soon.  I hope that helps to answer you question.

Good camming.

As I said I'm new.  I began watching about 4 of 5 days ago.  I love watching the cam and have a curiosity question.  I am off of work this week so have watched the cam from 9am USA/eastern time until midnight which is from 4pm to 7am South Africa cam time.  There don't seem to be any animals wandering by.  I realize there is a lot of watching and waiting but it seems I would see a little activity other than a few Kudu, Nyala and geese.  Perhaps watching needs to be mid day Africa time.  Since I've watched about 15 hours a day for the past few days, minus a couple of short breaks, I think maybe my timing is wrong.  I do see the cams moving and zooming but not lots of action.  I certainly appreciate being able to watch and sincerely hope I am not sounding rude for this is not my intent.  I would appreciate any input.

Hi Tman,

Thanks for the info, as usual it is helpful in explaining many things.  I also tried my newest I. E.  and it worked fine for a post or two.   I went back to using Google Chrome.

I think both of us try to have faith in the Africam Administration.  They know the problem areas and are resolving issues as only they can.  We have seen a lot of change since 1998,   I have deep respect for all the volunteers who serve in many vital ways.

See you later Tman,  thanks for your work!

hi Howwa, it was just noticed that there is a problem with this thread anyway using IE 9 browser while not logged in anyway it didn't appear right at all.  that has also been reported.  That security message problem has been cropping up for quite a while now and I know it has been reported also again recently.  They are in the process of making some major changes with the forum although I don't know what the status of that is now as to when the changes are to take place.  Can only hope the problems people are having will be fixed soon.

Ellie had a nice mud bath and still there at TE.  Also had some kudus and nyalas around at TE.

Thanks Mavis, Sue and Tman.  It may take a while for the Boma to sort ou and settle out the problems.  I have faith that they will.  Technical difficulties happen, that is for sure.

hi all.  Back again and ready for some good sights and sounds at the cams.  I still have hopes that maybe they will get id and nk back up soon.  We haven't been told anything about them yet.  Good camming all.
