  lon g time since my accident on june 4. fell at home and broke the hip bone. during pre-op had a heart attack which delayed the surgery two weeks. i am now at a care center for therapy, mostly standing on the right leg. can't put any weight on the left until about the end of august when i will be going home and will have home therapy for a while. free wifi here at the care center so my son brought in a laptop to use. kind awkward using it in bed.  - we'll all be interested in your progress and willing you to get better soon!

i posted earlier that 70.000 people had been evacuated from the fire it was 17,000 and 6,500 homes evacuated in the fire in the interior of b.c. only 3 houses and one trailer lost so far It's pretty sad. All our little fires here on the island, started in the thunderstorm, didn't amount to much of anything, thank goodness. I guess there was enough rain to handle them. I can't imagine the fear all those people must be feeling.
