Oh Vicki, that is so heartbreaking for you to have it take so long for him to cross, I am so sorry. Thank goodness that he had the anesthesia and didn't notice.

So sorry for your loss. Two yrs ago we put 16 yr old Alf our dog down. He now sits in his little wooden box right here next to puter with me and his picture next to it. I hear him snoring sometimes! Miss him bunches.

Vicki,

I am so sorry that  you had to let your beautiful Simba go. I know what a difficult decision it is. We had a cat with cancer caused by her rabies vaccine that we had to let go after a fight to get rid of it and it was an agonizing decision but we knew it was the right thing. As you too did the right thing but it sure doesn't make you feel any better. I hope in time you can smile when remembering the good times with him.

Vicki, It is always hard to do the right thing by our beloved animal friends.  Stay strong and hugs from me coming your way.

Vicki, 4 years ago I had to come to the same decision with my beloved cat Smokey, but in the end you will feel relief for taking the pain away, and you will never, never forget him.

What a beauty he is.  Many years ago I had a collie like that, we never forget.  Memories never go away and give so much comfort.  Hugs
