Awww isn't that precious? I'm going to get a close up of 1 of those heads for my desktop at work. We is in wildie calf heaven this year. The odds are in our favor to see more than 1 grow up...i hope. Hyaena...NK i believe. 952 pm cat __________________

Hi all! Just trying to catch up on the posts. I'm pretty sure I counted at least 8 baby wildebeest. They are just too cute. Not sure if someone already posted but noticed out Wilde with the lump has had her baby. Must have been very recent as it seems really small and umbilical cord still visible. Here is a not too good pic but she was in the back and I cropped it out.

Bit off topic, but heck it's Xmas. How about a snowman cam...I swear it is. So when no critters are at the wh at EP & NK, take a peek. This is adorable.
there are a mess of deer that come right up to the camera and look right at you...LOL. __________________

Mom can even hold off the birthing if she feels threatened and only has her baby's during the day and with the entire herd around her. Now is that cool or what..! Oof, but that must hurt. __________________

I just read that that is how many get separated from Mom. Mom will walk off, they don't notice and they become victims to predators. Actually I learned a lot about these Wildebeests since that baby was born that I never knew before. Mom can even hold off the birthing if she feels threatened and only has her baby's during the day and with the entire herd around her. Now is that cool or what..! __________________

It's been really fun to watch all the babies bounce around, I just thought the adults like to play a lot. Maybe we will get the chance for one more birth but if they go in teh trees which would make sence I guess would miss the actual birthing anyway. I tried to watch the photobucket #1 #2 then jumped to the last one but PB buffers so bad just takes the pleasure out of the show. Oh well someday. I did get enough info to see that wildies only have their babies during the day, that is a nice thing to know so you are not worried about them being born during the peak of predator time. __________________
