Hi Karen, Sag, and Lily.  I can never see a thing at EP, but the sounds are great.

Howdy Ladies,
EP view is usually a little better than it is right now.
Yea Lily-it was tuff to say buffs but after they came out of water that I did not notice them go in to...lol.. you could manage to figure it out by way they walked and grunted.

Saggers and MH - sightings have been more often lately there. Ellies last couple nights and a giraffe loner mid day friday. quite a few impalas and couple lone bokkies lately too.
just sad zoomie isn't able to monitor very often tho. and the occassional hippo too. Smiling

Lily, there are some growls over at EP.  Wild Dreamer says it could be a lion.  There are also cape bufs there, though I can't see them. The growling sounds very cat-like to me.

Karen, do you have any notion as to what is growling at EP?

Well I guess the critters are finally gonna show up at EP.  That will be great.  During the day hours it is a pretty sight there too.

sounds like the buffs having a little dominance discussion to me, could be wrong. but I don't think it is a cat tho.

Sag, it's so nice to hang out with you once again at the watering holes.  I've missed you here!

Karen, correct you are, as usual.  I caught a little sighting there just as you were posting:

"looked like" maybe 9-10 buffs as they walked by... did y'all manage to hopefully see about that amount too?

MH... just gotta get used to the sound at EP. It sounds more of a "muffled" and not real clear and crisp sounding, so a lot of it can throw you off if you're not used to it. Lion roars you can tell, but they can sound a little odd too. hopefully I can talk some up..lol

Karen, I've heard the distant lion roars at EP, but tonight's growling there sounded up close and personal.  I didn't realize bufs made those growling noises.  Thought it might be a cat stalking close to the mic.

EP was kinda on the busy side early morning. before I crawled off to sleep I went to "sightings and times" thread to look for something and noticed there were no posts for a few hours, so I went back thru my photos from like 3:00-8:00 EST and posted what I had seen at both places. Quite a few things at ep... take a peek at Friday's thread.

EDITED: oooops, make that 3-8:00 CAT. sorry bout that.

it could have been a cat near growling too MH. I can't fully trust my own judgement right now...lol. both ears are half stopped up and I'm maybe 2 steps up from feeling yucky still.

to me a lot of the sounds saying muffled also have like a rattly type sound in them, it's hard to explain exactly what I'm try to say...lmbo

LOL, I think I totally understand what you are saying, Karen.  What does that make me?  LOL.

Checked out the Friday streaming cam section and you are right, lots of EP photos.  More than I've ever seen there.  Thanks.
