Couldn't tell from pic, just pick it up, indigos are the biggest babies of all snakes, thats why people like them Thats another reason I am thinking Indigo ..I was sitting right in front of that snake, with a cat and a dog by my side LOL. I saw him out the window and went out, ran back in to get camera..he was still there. I will keep an eye out and get better pics next time.

Now I am all confuzzled ..I was going to post a pic of the Snakes I find in my back yard ( or at times in my house ). I was under the impression that they were Black Racers. But in looking at a photo I took a few weeks ago, I do not see the white/grey chin or throat. I am thinking now that it may be an Eastern Indigo. Which would make me very happy as it is a threatened spices in Florida. At first glance they look similar, but I know where I lived before( a few miles from present ) I had black Racers and I always saw the immature racers also ( they are a pretty brown /grey speckled color for a bout a year ) . I have see no young racers at this house, altho I have a few of the large Black snakes which I thought were racers. They are pretty large, hard to tell from this photo. The one in the front yard is even larger LOL, about 6ft at least. What do you think, do I have a Racer or an Indigo ?? This is the head, it looks more red or rust on under throat, Racer is usually cream color.
Whole snake (almost ) about 5 ft
