We thought about putting out a bat house to see if we could attract them. The are excellent bug eaters. And believe me, here on the Gulf Coast we get more than our share of mosquitos, gnats, etc.

Carolyn, I'm not that far from you (Brazoria) and I have a bat house. It was occupied the first year I put it up with a mixed nursing colony of Evening bats and Brazilian freetailed bats. I love to sit in the backyard at dusk in summer and watch them come out.
