Sabine (I believe) noted a barn owl calling a little while back in the sightings and sounds thread. Again, I know nothing about these birds sounds. LOL

I keep hearing wings flying or flapping.  I think mom is coming to feed baby owl.

Bu now I have to ad; you make me think now of the young Verraux Eagle Owl and its high pitched begging night after night. Took some time to find out what it was then. So a young Owl is not that bad thinking  Marblehead  Eye-wink

Don't be sorry, Swift.  The sound we are hearing now sounds like the Scops which, I think, was also mistaken for kitty.  The other sounds, much earlier, may well have been a cat.  Albeit, a little kitty.   Eye-wink

Hi gang, Swift and myself think that the 'kitty' sound we are all hearing from time to time might well be a scops owl.

Sorry Marblehead Oops I heard a Scops Owl after a long time not hearing any night birdies. But that was not related to the "cat" calls. Misunderstandig Eye-wink
