Whooper calling at NK

I missed saying Hello and Goodnight to cerinthe and hearing the whooper ..but I did get to say hello to a teeny tiny lizard ( Anole ) ..will get photo up in a few

Teeny Tiny lizard that jumped on my hand when I went to open the screen door ...B  ( son ) just happened to be with in ear shot so he ran out and took the photo for me

Wow, when you say tiny, it is tiny!

LOL ..that one has grown a bit from hatching ..I have seen them even smaller. I just love them to pieces ...  I have a Staghorn Fern that is a favorite nesting spot. I should try and get some photos of when they first hatch.  The baby Geckos are really cute also ..but hard to catch LOL ...I see them a lot in my hall way ..they come in under front door to the light I guess. Drives the cats bonkers at night. But I try and get them out before they get them LOL.

Funny story about the lizards vs Geckos. My Son when he was small loved all the lizards in So. Florida. We had Green Knight Anoles ( big, with teeth ), and Iguanas, and all the little cuban Anoloes ..he caught them all the time. But one night he started screaming bloody murder because there was a 'lizard" on his bedroom ceiling.  It was a little Gecko.  He was afraid because it had "buggy Eyes" LOL

  I am waiting to catch a glimpse here ..but so cloudy :-(   It should look huge tonight so i am hoping for the skies to clear a little soon.  ..I am thinking it should be about over the Lodge in Africa now ??

The  moon at NK is about straight west  but very high in the skay

I think my day has finally caught up with me so I think a rest is in order ..I will say goodnight ..but I hope to be up to watch sunrise over the pans ...

Uh Oh ..what was that at NK ..just saw a Bokkie drinking and then heard lots of squealing ???

Hi Donna ..aren't they cute ..and they eat bugs too :-)   Did you, or your kids, ever catch them and touch them to your ears or lips untill they bit and just hung on like earrings ? LOL 

Oh my ..what is disturbing the birds tonight ??  I think the Rhino must be out there stomping around again LOL

Hi Howwa and Donna I'm in and out - doing dishes...

Funny. I don't remember seeing them as kids but I've seen it before. We had many more horned toads then. Unfortunately, the "horny toads" are further west now. Progress ran them out. I heard the squeal you mentioned. Something is afoot.
