Saw your posting and we've had the outer bands here today in South Florida, nothing bad-just wind and rain.

Well thanks to all, and JUJU, what part of the Illini do you lay your head, if I may ask? I also sleep in Lincoln Land, LOL. small small world eh? Southern part myself....East of STL.  Yes I have been looking and reading all over this place getting a little more familiar with it....... Looking forward to the viewing........

all a matter of a bad combo of events ceri  ,,,arid pollon of the plataan trees , dust &wind  that is the trademark of early  spring here &  extreme hot weather  for the first part of august...but that is old  mother nature at work ...  ist it ???

Hello rif , welcome , hope you enjoy this site I am not sure but cams are down today , don't know for sure I just logged on , but you will truly love to watch ,when they are up , the cams have been going down alot this past week , alot of winds

Hi folks!!

We're in full up hurricane mode here.  I'm 400+ miles north of the gulf coast and the outer clouds are here.  The storm is still 200 miles south of the coast.  Waves have been reported at 50 feet already off shore.

To all our friends there, leave now if you havent already.  Estimates are that almost 2 million people have been evacuated and time is running out.
