  spirite bear ( kermode) is actually a species of black bear  found in   north west portions of  british columbia - it is our official  animal for the province

I'd love to be able to watch all those animals.  But it's just too cold for me there.  I'll have to stick to my hummingbirds, quail, coyotes, lizards and scorpions.  (Did you see my post on Saturday about a cam here for those critters?) ; )

IT GETS HOT HERE LOL 

Phoenix has 300 days of sunshine every year.  The rest are simply partly cloudy with a day or two with rain.  (3 inches this year).  I like wearing shorts and sandals all year long.  I don't own a winter coat, hat, gloves, boots, or closed shoes. With what I save in clothing, I can put on the a/c for a few weeks without it hitting the wallet.  I like going swimming outside in February!  If it gets under 90 I'm freezing!  It's a good thing I moved here before they closed it.

 yup  thats why canadian snow bird go to arizona every winter    my brother inlaw is thier right now for 6 months- ( quartzite arizona)   (  but where i live in winter  you can go sking at  mt washington then drive down the mt  10 miles to courtenay and go golfing or surf in the opcean all in the same day  in february   lol

I have to drive about 2 hours to go skiing (if I did that) or 150 miles the other way to the southernmost skiing in the US at Mt Lemon, 4 or so to go to the ocean, 3 1/2 hours to the Grand Canyon (or Canyon de Chelly), and 3 hours to Mexico.  I can be at pro basketball, baseball, rodeos, or bull riding in about 10-15 minutes.  And pro football and hockey in less than 30 min.  We have all the cactus league baseball in spring, too.  I can be in the "old west" in about 35 minutes and ride horses through the wilderness mountains (if I could still ride).  And I can go to the undisturbed desert and watch beautiful sunsets.  But best of all is living where it's HOT!  But not muggy.  But shhhhhh!  Don't tell anyone how close everything is here.

 ok  - 30 miles to top of ski hill    3 miles to ocean  - pro hockey  -football   one hour drive  + 1hour 45 minutes on ferry - then another hour  to stadium  lol

i live ion an island  300x 80 miles surrounded by water  lol

i was raised in ranching farming area as a kid-  fell off every horse i was on   - wasnt bad  bare back but give me a saddle and  splat  on the ground every time- i had this problem-    if the horse looked one way while it was standing - i fell off the other way -

if i lived in the old west it would have been on foot or chooo choo train
