Lots of running zebs around, sounds like you can hear the sound of hooves. Wonder if the cats are in the vicinity still.

Thanks. My sound is actually very poor. I can barely make out the odd night bird sound, and no branches snapping, and just a drone on EP. __________________

if the water gets real low the lodge pumps in more water you can sometimes here the pump running when they do it __________________

Dont you just wish they had a cam just beyond those trees. Wow, what was that? Wildie??

Good day Barry This is the Power and fibre optic cable for the camera that runs from the lodge. The Wildebeest loved rolling in the sand and digging up the cable so we had to brush pack the holes to get them to stop as not to damage the cable. Pump for the pan runs off an old Lister motor that is what you hear when we start the pump, the boreholes for the lodge is west of the pan and runs on electic pumps. In winter you will start seeing the paths to the pan, they are like veins congregating towards the pan. Have a great day Ernst __________________

Barry, this lurker has been watching for almost two years, and I don't think I ever recall seeing the water this low. (During that time, I was even luckey enough to be watching when the ellie tried to pull the hose out of the ground....actually several times.) Come to think about it, I haven't heard the pump going for quite a while. Have you? __________________

yes i have seen it this low and yes i heard the pupm less than a week ago i put all that type of info in the AFRICAM BOOK ( 3) ITS FREE READING LOL
THE NKORHO PAN IS 45 FT X 25 FT Water Level: The Nkorho pan is in fact a natural waterhole. So of course its water level rises and falls depending on the rains and what animals are drinking from it. It also contains an underwater pump that is used to artificially supplement its water level in extreme situations. Sometimes you can even hear the pump through the Africam audio. A good example of a time to use this pump would be after a large herd of Buffalo stops by for a drink. (true story )
small pond after a good rain at NKORHO to the right of the PAN
