I disagreed with the decision to lock the other thread as I thought the comments were geniune and fair from a number of long-time users and contributors. Perhaps this one will be locked as well, I don't know.
In any case, I would like to concur with some of the other users who find the new platform unreliable and unwatchable. Although I haven't been contributing on this board as much lately, I've been with Africam and the original Nkorho cam since its inception and have always been a huge fan and supporter of the site. I have recommended it to others and have watched as much as possible at home and at work (and always check the pictures thread to see what I have missed, through the kindness of Fani and some others who post such excellent caps). I watch a couple different cams now, but Nkorho was my first and favorite, and has remained so until recently.
However, like others, I find the new platform just too difficult to watch on my computer systems for a variety of reasons. It does not run consistently on my operating system and often breaks down during the frequent and disruptive commercial interruptions. I understand the need to make the site commercially viable. From a personal standpoint though, I've donated to the site frequently and feel I've done my part to help keep the site viable, and was happy to do so, and I'd be willing to contribute monthly to avoid the disruption (I realize this option may not be appealing to some others but I'm strictly speaking from my own point of view).
In any case, the commercials were tough to swallow but something I was able to eventually come to grips with. The switch to the new, less reliable platform, with an inferior quality of picture that is so difficult to consistently run on my PC system is just too much though, it's heartbreaking but I don't feel like I have any choice but to move on from Nkorho to other Webcam options. It's extremely disappointing because I sincerely appreciate the efforts of Karin and the rest of the Nkorho staff, and as I said before, Nkorho was my first and favorite live streaming cam and I would not want to move on if at all possible.
I read some of the reasoning regarding the move and the supposed improvements that would result, and I guess my comments in response would be that from reading the other thread that was locked, it appears that the change is alienating and running off some of the most tenured and dedicated cammers who have contributed greatly to this site, and I can't imagine that any alleged benefits would be worth doing that.
Once again, my comments are meant in a constructive light. I greatly appreciate the ability to have been able to watch Nkorho cam for so long, and I also appreciate the amazing dedication that the Nkorho staff has shown in providing such incredible sighitings. Thanks again and best of luck to them in the future, I hope to make it to Nkorho one day and meet them in person.

They are still deteriorating and even the one positive - the sound control - is gone now.If there is specific testing or trials we could be doing, involving us viewers will possibly give us something constructive to do?
