I think it is great that Google is doing the Black Out thing for Earth Day ..They always have something for different Holidays and causes. There is a thread about Earth Day in Campfire started by Sabine..I put a couple of great links there about Earth Day and also National Dark Sky Week in the US.

I want to keep my electrical use to a minimum between 12 noon and 9 tonight. It's Earth Hour tonight but I want to start early, partly to show solidarity with my poor friend in Zambia who has been living with an average of two hours of power a day for about 3 months now. I told her about Earth Hour just for a joke. And somehow their showers are connected with power as well, so no one can take showers. Drag!

You are setting a good example for the rest of us ! I just got up and turned my tv off ..and a kitchen light that had been left on. I also set my pool pump yesterday to run for 4 hours instead of the usual 6 ..I amy even shut it down more if it seems to hold a balance while it is not being used.

Cool Smudger. Been there 4 times. I'm a member of an "I love Whitby" website. Even got in the Whitby Gazette when I was there last year. But I imagine it will be a while before I get there again. I've got to face the reality that I'm not rich enough to be a jet setter.
