As the summer begins to fade away in Africa, the rains will also diminish. Grass will dry up, trees will lose their leaves, and water holes will dry up. The critters will begin to visit the Elephant Plains and Nkorho Pan water holes more frequently. The giraffes will return, the lions will stop by more frequently, and the mongoose will even sneak in for a drink now and again. 
Don’t have time to watch all day long? Is the night in Africa the only time you get to visit? Do you come in during the day and find out you just missed a big breeding herd of elephants...with babies? Chances are good that if you missed those elephants, you missed other things as well. 
Africam is lucky to have viewers and volunteers that are very tech savvy and share that talent with the rest of us Africammers.  Some record the sightings and post right away, some take snapshots and share in the daily streaming pictures link, and some put their pictures and clips to music. While we might have missed those elephants, I bet if you take a peek at the video section on the front page you just might find someone has shared some of that elephant visit, along with many other sightings.
