Domestic Animals (pets and such) 2008
EP still down but resolution in sight - hopefully Friday

I thought I might start a new thread for the new year, for photographs of our own wild life Please read the Africam Wise thread in this forum for photo posting information (limits of pixels, no more than 4 photo's per post) I have to say, I don't know how many pixels my photo's are. Not sure where to find that. So if they're too big, I apologize. I'll start off with some photo's I've been meaning to share. First is my ancient cat (she is twenty something years old). She is senile and craves warmth and craves being close to me. I mean, she is obsessed with being close to me. so, she sets her self directly on my cable modem and remains there. When I get disconnected, it is her fault. Then below her is a photo of my dear boy with the heart condition. Tell me he doesn't break your heart?

Thanks Dreamer. Ancient One is a real challenge. A senile ancient cat is a lot noiser and neadier than even a neonatal kitten LOL __________________

Bump! Add your pet photo's to this thread Another of my dear boy cats. This dear boy has no eyes but he doesn't suffer from the loss at all. He does, unfortunately, also have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy like his brother who just passed away. :( He's on medication and doing fairly well so far. Here he is making himself comfortable as I sort laundry.

WD, What beautiful creatures, and so obviously healthy. I lost my black Great Dane 3 years ago and my "ancient one" as SD calls them, looks exactly like your kitty....minus a few pounds. They laid like this often. Thanks for the memory. __________________

What a sweet photo Dreamer. Thanks! And I notice Bud Dog is sleeping with one eye open, watching Friskie. Friskie does look a little like she at the whole box of Friskies LOL So, where's Mikie Cat? __________________

Thought i'd add my lot in here: my cats are very much a Pride so in order of age and rank:
Lupus - Mar 1998 - one of 2 alpha males. Lupus is brain-damaged, partially blind. very talkative and extremely affectionate. he's my sweetie pie and spends most of his time at home
Jack - 1 Dec 1999 - the other alpha male. Jack is a proper alpha, out all day, always coming home with bites and scratches. he tolerates the females but woe betide any of the boys if they go near him. he loves the dogs though
Milky way and Andromeda - Dec 2003 - aka Milky and Andy, littermates. my contrary nature lead me to name the black male Milky and the female Andy

Shenzy - Oct 2004 - named after the female hyena in the lion king. i couldnt have chosen a better name for her. she's mean. if she'd been born a big cat she would not be part of a pride. apart from Andy, who Shenzy considers mum (Andy lets her suckle even though she's never had a litter), she barely tolerates everybody else. that includes the "2 legs". you have to ensure that you feet are covered all night else she'll bite, for no apparent reason other than she likes to lol. as a kitten she was deceptively beautiful and so here's another of her lol
so "chocolate box" but so evil lol.

Oliver Broadtail, Edwina Longfoot and Jemima Spider - Jan 2005 - littermates, aka Ollie the wally, Teddy Bear and Jimmy Love. these 3 are absolute darlings. i only wanted the boy but when i got there he'd gone and only the 2 girls were left. Teddy broke her leg at 15 weeks but shes fine now. she is the stupidest cat, wants to be carried around everywhere, cradled like a baby lol. Jimmy is a loner, not quite a nomad like Shenzy though, she loves her sister and Andy as both let her suckle.

Dennis the Paint - Feb - 2006 - named after my dad who's a painter and finally (phew)
Socks - June 2006 - Rescue kitten, unwanted after her owners decided they wanted a staffy pup. the pup was rehoused before it was 6 months old, i hate people like that. Socks is a lovely girl, very playful and seems to come from nowhere to attach herself to your ankle. there you go, thats the lot (well, the cats anyway lol )
