Don't like all the commercials
EP still down but resolution in sight - hopefully Friday

  I can't enjoy the watering hole cam any longer. Now they put commercials on about every 30 minutes or less and I have to listen to them before returning to the waterin hole view. I watch the cam at night since at that time it is daylight in Africa and I get a better view of the animals. Now I can't do that any longer because the commercials are SO LOUD they frighten me out of a sound sleep. I don't expect them. I used to leave the cam on all night by my bedside so I coudl look over during the night when wake up off and on. I would glance over to see if anything interesting is there. Now I can't do this becuase the commercials are louder than the cam audio and the commercials wake us up. Also, when I turn the cam to MUTE the volume comes back on when the commercials do. There are just too many commercials now. I know there has to be some revenue coming in but do they have to completely destroy the joy we all once had of watching the cam hours on end? Now frequent loud commercials come on and I can't enjoy it any longer so I just won't turn it on any longer. It was so nice to enjoy ONE thing in life that was commercial free and now even Africam has them often. __________________

I realize you need the commerials to bring in revenue...but what about people buying subscriptions...so we can be without the commercials. I know I would. I love Africam!

Same with me and they also make AOL take me offline many times. Sometimes they stop the cam from working and I have a black screen. __________________

I don't have a problem with the adverts here. They need to profit in order to bring such quality live cam from Africam, or at least break even.. I have been on aol for 11 years and never have had a problem being booting from this site!
The adverts cum up here about every 30 minutes. no biggie. All I have are accolades for this wonderful site!!!!

 Ive been noticing that every thirty minutes the cams restart. When and Why was this changed to do this? I have to say I love watching Africam, there is no other place or pass time I love more, but I cant say I like the change. Gets alil anoyying sometimes. Most of the time I have my volume all the way up and if I happen to fall asleep, I get awakened with very loud advertisement. Isnt the best way to wake up I must say..lolol __________________
There is so much beauty on this earth, that too many people take for granted..Do whatever you can to help save our awsome wildlife....I cannot seem to grasp or understand how peopel can just turn their heads or do harm to these awsome creatur

I dont really have a thing. And I would get startled by the loud ads.with the ads. I was actually wanting to know when they started it? I totally agree with the ads. We do get the privelidge of watching these awsoem cams for free. The only thing that was getting me was when I was leaving my volume up all the way, so I wouldnt miss any.And I was getting startled by the loud ads.I knew they were at the beginning of watching the cams, but didnt know they were during..  It's only American commercials that come on so it's from our ISP - and American ISP. AOL, JUNO, etc.. Only in America are you bombarded with stupid adds. Africam and these commercials are not related in any way. Budget Rental does not support Africam and nor do any of the other adds. Africam is supported by donations and tourists who visit there I believe. If anyone else out of the US using a foriegn ISP get's commercials please correct me. I hate them too.. Makes me want to curse aloud when the loud commercials come on. I enjoy the cams and will continue to watch, just have to control the volumn all the time.. See yall on africam.. __________________
