hi Lizann,

it's hard to tell when is a good time to see elephants. We have seen them during daytime or nighttime at both cams.

If you want to check out some pictures that were posted in the past you can check out the sightings log.

There you can find all the dates that elephants were seen at EP or NK and that pics were posted of them.

The breeding herd of ellies at EP is most interesting.  I recently wrote a children's story on elephants and realized much of what I have learned about them has come from information made available on Africam.  Laughing I make it available in the classroom whenever possible.

Hi and welcome to Africam and the forum.  I hope you will join us in the daily created watering hole chat thread where we discuss what we are seeing and hearing at the waterholes.  As for Elephants I have seen them both at NK and EP, during the daylight and night hours but being wild they show up when they want to and don't seem to follow any schedule or seem to have a better time then another.  I think EP does seem to have more sightings of them then NK though and we do see them  fairly often.  You can see in the daily streaming cam picture topics many of the sightings that viewers captured and posted.
