Thanks for the video....I missed this!  Never know what those ellies are gonna do, eh?   Glad you were able to run him off before he caused permanent damage to the cam.

I don't think he was angry ... I think he was just curious.  Like with the water pipe.  Ellies are so smart, and they just have to check things out!  He probably got annoyed when he got chased away from his "toy".... kudos to the Ranger who was brave enough to try to chase him away!  :)

That ellie was really curious, and was trying to get the job done.  Thanks to the ranger for fixing it again.  Thanks for the video.

But what does JuJu mean no sound? It had beautiful sound! I could hear the elephant actually breathing and snorting, and about half way thru she/he let out a beautiful, wild ellie honk! And boy, the people were there fast, too! I loved it, cause I never see anything exciting on the cams. Guess I watch at just the wrong time! lol!

And BTW, in my humble opinion, the ellie was trying to disable the cam light. Like any animal, ellies don't care for bright lights. And video cams' lights are annoyingly bright!

There seems to be a bug in this video player that to hear the sound the loudest you need to do the opposite of normal, have the speaker with the line through it and the fewest white lines to the right of the speaker.

eta:  The lights at night are Infra Red lights so don't appear to be bright light to animals at all.

That elephant ought to be a body guard for a celebrity. He would be great at handling the poparazzi! lol

I am new to Africam but when I saw this I knew I was ready to be a member! It was frightening at first but then I was in awe. The sound of the elephant speaking was truly amazing! Thank you guys for letting us see it while it was happening..It was like I was really there!! And as someone has already mentioned you must be VERY brave to have chased him off. Xx
