If not a live chat - what about at least an automatic refresh every few seconds in the forums? __________________

I am fairly new to the chat sites and I never know whether to post on the waterhole chat site or the campfire one. The two seem to be pretty much the same with general chit chat and animal chit chat on both. Is it really necessary to have them both or could they not be merged into one site?

While I like this idea, what about those who like to go back through the posts to see what's been going on while they've been sleeping or haven't been able to watch the cams. With the current method, we have a record for people to check back on..I know I would miss this. Is there a way that one can look back on past live chat entries? __________________

I'm guessing you've been asked before, but - is it possible to have a live chat area? I think more people would be more inclined to add to more conversations if it were easier to chat. I know there are times when I just lurk because it takes too long to add something new then keep refreshing to see what everyone else is saying too. Thanks for everything you guys do! It's very much appreciated by all of us. __________________

Campbell, et al: We are always quick to let you know what is awry, but I forget to thank you for the improvements you all have made lately. The buffering at EP, although not gone, is much improved as is the lighting and focusing. The Zoomie has been great and the Q&A thread has added a lot. The NK staff is part of our family. The drive pics, the interaction on the threads and Jacques willingness to play in the water for us is wonderful. I know I've forgotten something, but please let everyone know how very much you add to our lives.

I use firefox browser and have an add on that you can use for auto refresh at user set interval... the problem is if you are in the middle of writing a reply or post it will still refresh and you will lose all that you had done and have to start over. I learned not to use it here although it did seem like a good idea at the time. For those that don't post maybe it would be useful but would need the ability to turn it on/off as needed I think.
