Elephant Plains is our only major problem left, although we are still some way off to getting it back - no ETA yet

I finally decided to take the plunge & sign up. I've been an Africam Addict for well over a year. Because I'm computer illiterate, I'll mostly be a lurker. But... I'm a very good lurker. Eye-wink I feel like I know most of you already & you're a great bunch of folks. Glad to finally be signed up & be able to be a small part of this awesome place.

I LOVE AFRICAM!!!

Roy... Thanks for the welcome & thank goodness for unlimited internet in the US. I turn on Africam when I wake up & turn it off when I go to bed. Love it here! Eye-wink

Oh Yeah...Randleman is where the Petty Museum is. DUH!  I'm not much a of a race fan lately. Guess I never really was a 'race fan'. But... I was a BIG Dale Earnhardt Sr, fan. When I watched the races, I only cared about where Dale was running. If he went out, I was thru watching. lolol  I watch some now, but only if I have nothing better to do... like watch Africam. Eye-wink

So glad I came back from a phone call to see the cam back up. Eye-wink Too bad I'm heading to bed soon. But... tomorrow is another day.

Neely, The Richard Petty Museum is actually in Randleman, but very close to here. Kyle Petty lives 1/2 mile from my house and I have seen him out and about on several occasions. I can hear it when they have big parties. He has big fireworks displays and loud bands. I think he has Victory Junction functions on his farm. Bobby Labonte and Brian Vickers also live in this area, across the street from mine. Fancy meeting a neighbor half way around the world!

Hello Neighbor Patty... Thanks for the welcome. I believe Trinity is where the Petty Museum is located, if I'm right? If so, been there once. I took an out of town BIG TIME Richard Petty fan there & it was awesome to get to see him meet his HERO. He was literally SPEECHLESS. All the way back to Kannapolis, he repeated over & over... 'You just don't understand'.    LOVED IT! Eye-wink

Nice to meet another NC resident here. Eye-wink We do love Africam in NC, don't we? ;-)

Well Hello Neighbor. Eye-wink Sorry I just saw your post. I'm just down the road about 20 minutes from Salisbury. You've been here longer than I have, cause the cams have always been on since I found them. I think I'd DIE if they disappeared. What a HUGE part of my life they have become.

Great to know NC is well represented here. ;-)  It's a great place to hang out. My hubby calls it the 'mud puddle'. lolol

I live over in Salisbury.  I have watched africam for a number of years.  I have seen it come and go a couple of times due to lack of funding.  Once upon a time they had a camera on a jeep driving all over the place.  Had more sites to visit also.  Enjoy africam
