I wasn't watching when you were but from what you said it is probably the problem at the EP cam with the "buffering" It will make it look like the cam freezes on a shot or animals will appear or disappear when it is happening. You may also notice sound comes on and off. That is a problem they are aware of and have been trying to find a fix for. We all are getting it so have to accept and deal with it I guess.
