Hey Ya'll

Hi to everyone,

Just wanted to say how much I enjoy this site and the pictures. I signed up a while ago but never actually looked  at site until a few days ago. Now I realize what I've been missing and I now check out what's going on several times a day (and night). Even my 3 yr old grandson (I babysit him each day) loves this site and is always asking to "see the animals". We are both disappointed when no animals are around. But, I have found that even when  no animals are present, it's still nice to watch and listen to the sounds (especially at night).

I have always loved animals of all kinds-even snakes. I owned, trained and showed horses for over 45 years and always had dogs, cats and other miscellanous animals around. I currently only have 3 dogs which is the smallest quantity of animals I've ever had.  I worked at a large and small animal hospital for quite a while and loved it.  I also volunteered with an animal rescue organization for many years.  Now I'm retired and love that to!!

I would love to visit Africa someday-that has always been a dream of mine. Being able to live and work in such a place must be wonderful. Until I can make that dream come true, I will depend on this site for my glimpse of wonderful animals and places.

Take Care Everyone,

Glad to have you join us here Ciaran.  You will meet many friendly people here who all love the critters that can be found here.  We never know when something will make an appearance, which is part of what makes this quite exciting and very addicting.

I too am planning a trip to  Africa one day and staying at one or both of the lodges here is high on my priority list.

Hope to see you on the daily threads in the  Boma where we talk about what is happening on the cams (even when nothing is actually happening - LOL)
