Hi from Headacheslayer!

For as long as I can remember I have desperately wanted to go to Africa.

Well, first I wanted to be a zookeeper, then a vet. But the idea of an African safari was just amazing. Naturally my younger sister beat me to it--she and her husband visited last year and climbed to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro...watching their numerous photos *sigh*

My kids (16 & 9) want to go too...I'm 41 and have chronic illness/pain issues but I WILL make it to Africa. In the meantime, having Africam is such a blessing. I strayed for awhile *blush* so imagine my delight to come back to LIVE videos with sound! So now I start my days (or sleepless nights to the orchestra of Africa.

I'm saving "snapshots" with glee--imagine how happy I was to see Big Tusker at TE today...and to show him to my son.

I do wish there were a way to pay the ads away--I'd gladly do it! But I am so very grateful that you all take the time to work on this site. It means a great deal to me!

And in the meantime between now and Africa, I collect my own little menagerie of 1 dog, 2 parrotfish and 1 plecostamous (catfish).

Am I geek to say that The Lion King is one of my favorite movies/musicals ever? LOL

Peace and Blessings!

Hi Angel and welcome to Africam.  I hope you will look around the forum as we have lots of interesting topics here.  In the Chit Chat forum, you will see a New to Boma topic where you can introuduce yourself.  Just under that is The Boma where we meet to chat about what we are seeing and hearing on the cameras.  Hope to see you there.
