and now if  i find i put in 50 per page if im  surfing  the different sites

so i was wondering  what number   members used   then i could get an average and

I use 30 per page, again I think that is the default.

I use 10..........because I use 10.  I just went to the chat page and refreshed page 1.  It took 4 1/2 sec.  I then changed my preference to 90 per page and then refreshed again.  It took 4 1/2 sec.  I think that answers that.  And I learned a long time ago that if you want to send someone to a particular post, use the time, in CAT.  That will get everybody there!

Hi Barry, I also use 30 which was the default. I am curious if it is slower loading with more posts per page.

Good morning Barry, I have mine set at 300 with newest first. I just like everything on 1 page (unless it has been a busy day with 500 comments).

Just to add to what has already been said, I have mine set for 30 per page... but it also would make  a difference as for page number if they are looking at newest first or oldest first which is another option.  I prefer newest first setting.  Although I find the easiest way to view the different threads is by using the active discussions link to see what is "new" since my last opening of the threads  and that is listed by most recent on top.

I have chosen 10.

I can answer this one real easy.

Refreshing the page and how long it takes depends on if there are any or quite a few pictures with in the page you are trying to refresh. It can slow it down quite a bit no matter how fast your ISP Service is.

Also.. the best way to share a certain post is to just give the "time it was posted" not what page it is on. The best way to share the time would be to calculate the time in CAT(Central Africa Time) from the time you see for the post, as most every one is aware of their time difference with Nkorho and EP. Example: If I want to share something that is showing at 1:12am in my forum settings(EST), I am 6 hours behind SA, so I would say 7:12am CAT. PLUS... not all of us see the same times of the specific posts as we are all scattered all over the world and have our different time zones showing for the posts in forums.

So, to make a long story short, "just post the time in CAT" and not the time zone you are living in or the page it is showing with your settings.

Hope that helps. Smiling

yes  your posting will help

if we get  50  or more members posting  then i can get an average

so far i have  asked  2  others theirs were   30  and 90

also for no real reason   just like i use  10

thanks

i guess what im trying to get at is  if a memebr tells me to go to a site and look on page   ( 5 ) for eg

then if they also say  they use

30 per page  then i can click on  30 comments per page at bottom of forum and go to site and find what im looking for

ok?  thanks
