1. Posting pictures on the forum

 

How to post pictures from the streaming cam

• Download the program Mwsnap from http://www.mirekw.com/winfreeware/mwsnap.html
  
• Install the software in your computer
• When you start using it, you might get black images, to get rid of this, go to tools in your windows media player click, options, performance, advanced and un-tick use overlays.
  
• Start snapping shots on live streaming video and save images to your pc and select jpg format for your images
  After you have saved your images you choose an image hosting site to host your pictures e.g tinypic(www.tinypic.com) or any of your choice.
  
• Upload the pictures through your image host.
  
• Compose a new message on the boma where you want your picture to appear.
  
• Copy and paste or enter the IMG link manually e.g.
  
• Click the preview button to view your pictures before you submit, to check whether the pictures appears on your message.

How to post pictures from the refresh cams

• Download photos by right-clicking with your mouse and selecting "Save As." Select the directory to download the photo into, and click "Save."
• After you have saved your images you choose an image hosting site to host your pictures e.g tinypic(www.tinypic.com) or any of your choice.
• Upload the pictures through your image host.
• Compose a new message on the boma where you want your picture to appear.
• Copy and paste or enter the IMG link manually e.g.
• Click the preview button to view your pictures before you submit, to check whether the pictures appears on your message.

 

2. Removing pictures in quotes

Example :

You would like to reply/quote this picture and text

Wildebeest and young at 3.15 pm

After clicking on quote, you will get this text :

Parts to be deleted in red:

Result:

Now you can add your answer or comment to the quote and hit submit.

 

 

3. Removing irrelevant parts of messages when quoting

Example :

You would like to reply to following message posted by cerinthe, but your reply is only concerning the hornbill sighting:

“Hello cammers!!!!! Not here for long. Those elephants really were great! Thanks to all for posting pictures.

Seeing the Ground Hornbills this morning was even better! It was fantastic”

When you click on quote it should look like this :

Parts to be deleted in red:

Result:

Now you can add your answer or comment to the quote and hit submit.

Remember, you can always ‘preview’ your message before submitting it.
