A fishing eagle was perched on one of them for quite a while and zommie got right close in - I must have took a million snapshots lol. You can see pictures of it that others have posted in the forum thread titled streaming cam pictures wednesday august 06 2008 They are quite a way down the page. Im sure someone mentioned in waterhole chat that there was a kingfisher too but havn't seen one myself.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Those are some sticks that were put in to attract birds to sit on to give us added enjoyment in watching the waterhole.
