Hi, apologies if there is a thread already for this subject but please please please can someone help to identify this bird by it's sound.

It's actually been recorded in Durban, Kwa-zulu Natal, but I believe it has also been heard in Sabie, Mpumalanga.

I have been hearing it very often, especially around 6am.

Does anyone have a clue????

It's the whistle sound that I would like identified.

Hello, Sorry, I was unable to open your attachment. One bird that "whistles"  is the Water Thick-Knee (Burhinus vermiculatus) or Water Dikkop.  Have you tried the sound database of recordings at Africam's waterholes? Click Here for the link.
