Idube Private Game Reserve is one of the longest existing game lodges in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve in the heart of South Africa’s Greater Kruger Park. Built and designed by owner Louis Marais, Idube was opened to the public in 1989. The secret of their success has been offering some of the best animal sightings in the world. This camera is positioned at Scotia Dam away from the lodge. It provides not only an abundance of African wildlife but also a vast and tranquil viewing experience with its panoramic vista and dynamic sound. When to view: From a game viewing perspective, animals are around throughout the year with peak viewing over the winter months from around May to October. There are the usual suspects during the day. You can catch the sunrise or sunset “rush” before waiting for the night time sightings, when some of the rare animals make an appearance.
