Decent shot Krukab. There is only one spot close to being local, where Black Terns are commonly seen and nest. Ive been only once at the proper time of year to view them. Maybe next spring I will get there again.

Good morning/evening to all. I haven't been online for several days sure is a lot of nice pics posted. Your little purple finch looks like she is having a great time in the water, Krukab. Hubby and I were out driving around Joseph Washington, it's near the Wallowa Mountains, a very pretty place. Anyway I took a picture of a bird and was wondering if one of you birders out there could ID it for me. Hubby thinks it might be Bohemian Waxwing ( Bombycilla garrulus ).[

......Could be a Cedar Waxwing. the Bohemian Waxwing has a dark patch under the beak, a rust color on its undertail, and a pattern of black, yellow and white on its wing. The Cedar Waxwing is of a cinamon-brown like the one in your pic.
( Of course I may be wrong )

Thanks Krukab and Simescan, I looked in our bird book before posting but really couldn't tell wether it was a cedar or bohemian waxwing. To me, it looked like a cross between the two, LOL. I can't believe in my post with the bird pic I said it was near Joseph Washington. Joseph is actually in Oregon. We have been in and out of OR and WA so many times in the last 4 weeks I can't ever remember where we are. Hmmm, could it be an old age thing. I do know that tonight we are in Coeur d-alene Idaho, but where we will be tomorrow is the unknown part of our summer adventure. Thanks again for the ID.
