Location and subject

The cam is located in the scenic town of Knysna at the Oak Hills School, on the Garden Route. The town is nestled between the impressive Outeniqua Mountains and the Indian Ocean, with the world-renowned forests encircling it made famous by the last remaining free roaming elephants that have made this forest there home. At the heart of Knysna is the 21 ha lagoon protected from the sea by the monolithic sandstone "Heads" that form the gate way to the lagoon. It is a popular coastal town and tourist stop over point on there way along the Garden Route. The cam refreshes every 30 sec.
