I am concerned by the fact she has been here all day. Does anyone know whether she is okay, or might be ill? She stands sometime for a little while and then lies back down. That worries me.

Thank you, Bob, that's good to know!

P.S. - can you work magic and turn the power back on?!!

Power and on is apparently not a very reliable thing in South Africa at the moment.

I would not worry about that Lioness right now. She had a very full belly and was just happy to sleep. In south Africa we say "mag is vol , oggies toe" which means , stomach full, eyes shut". Lions generally sleep 85-95 %of the time and if she has eaten recently which it looks like then she wont be looking to eat again and be very active for a few days Her calling to me is just her contact calls to the rest of her pride.
