here is a usefull  thing we also have-  you can move it  room to room - or take to the horse barn- etc  plug a lamp  small t.v. radio ec  for when power is out

  our generator is $300.00 and we have  2 freezer with   $500,00 worth meat etc  so   the generator pays for its self real fast--   

wow, a few years ago across from where i used to live in the country, there was a loggin yard, and the boom truck that takes the logs off the truck didn't put his boom down and went through the hydro wires taking out 3-4 poles, so for about 16 hrs i was doing all my cooking on the little woodstove we had in our enclosed porch.. and I didn't have a generator
