Monthly Prize Drawing

Please can we have a list of the names of new members who have been awarded wine as the advert on the left hand side?

I hope it's not just a con to harvest e-mail addresses for future spam mailings!

I've been a member since July of this year and have not seen any kind of increase in junk e-mails, not even when I've clicked on sponsor ads.  For what it's worth...........

None taken i promise you. We are looking to bring some really nice prizes on board soon. I think we need to announce the winner every month. I want to change the prize from wine so everyone can win.

I will keep you updated.

Ok, sorry for barking up the wrong tree (maybe growling is more appropriate for Africa!).

There are plenty of scams on the internet so thanks for clarifying the issue.

Apologies and no offence intended.

We will contact the winners and ask them if they want their names put up. We have no problem with that.

I have just sourced a new prize today for all our viewers both new and old. The wine does exclude the children and some of the winners did not want the wine. Please go and have a look at www.paradisepictures.co.za. They will be supplying us with photo's that we will give away. We are just working out the best format and method to do it.

We do encourage our viewers to register so we can keep in touch with them and the prize is our way of saying thank you. If you consider it SPAM then there is an opt out option on the email. I dont think we have sent SPAM but please if you feel we have then feel free to contact us with your feedback.

With regards to the Ads. Our audience is mostly from the US and therefore we can source Ads from US ad networks. We would love for South African companies to advertise on our site and hopefully they will see the benefit soon and start.Right now the online ad market in SA is very new.

We are hopefully getting some ads for our EU viewers but the worldwide credit crunch has also pulled companies budgets back.

We are having an Africam meeting later in the week and will propose the winners to be posted. The prizes are our way of saying thanks and i hope you will like the new prizes coming soon.

I appreciate it's during the weekend that this Q is posed, but since we all wherever we live in the world, have to put up with American adverts for products that aren't available outside the USA, I'm wondering if it's a scam?

Perhaps some adverts for African products instead would be more appropriate since the cameras are based in Africa.

How about that advert for Bata safari boots, known and loved in East Africa, "the boots that say you know Africa". I bought some in Malindi Kenya, made of tan suede with a crepe rubber sole, the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. It's such a pity they aren't available in the UK!

The audience is predominantly American so why would SA companies want to advertise there.

I am from South Africa and dont find the American ads offensive.

I understand the principle of advertising being directed at the majority, as a company I certainly would not waste my precious ad budget on advertising to a minority.

I agree with the list of winners.....I have wondered is it real or just a gimmick! I guess time will tell!
